The Pengshui Dam is an arch dam on Wu Jiang in Wulong County , Chongqing City , China . The dam supplies a 1750 MW hydropower plant with water. This has five 350 MW Francis turbines and generators. Construction work on the dam began in September 2003 and the hydropower plant was operational in 2008.
