Octavio Schroeder

Octavio Hermann Schroeder (born August 25, 1822 in Hamburg ; † July 30, 1903 in Othmarschen ) was a Hamburg lawyer and senator .

Life

Schroeder successfully studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and the Ruprecht Karls University . In Heidelberg he was one of the founders of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . Schroeder settled in Hamburg as a lawyer and became a citizen.

Schroeder was a member of the Hamburg citizenship from 1868 until his entry into the Senate . On July 17, 1869, Schroeder was elected to the Senate as successor to Friedrich Sieveking . From 1871, Schroeder was Gustav Heinrich Kirchenpauer's representative in the Federal Council as Hamburg's representative , otherwise he was mainly active in the finance deputation, which he headed for a while.

In 1884, Schroeder was relieved of his office in the Senate by a resolution of the Senate because of mental disorder and passed into retirement. Gerhard Hachmann was elected as his successor .
