The Mudan Jiang River ( Chinese  牡丹江 , Pinyin Mǔdān Jiāng , English Mudanjiang River / Mudan River ; Manchur. Mudan bira ) is an approx. 725 km long river in the Chinese province of Heilongjiang .

It must not be confused with the Chinese city of the same name, Mudanjiang (Heilongjiang Province), which is located on its central reaches.

The Mudan Jiang has its source in Jilin Province and flows north to the Songhua Jiang . It flows through Lake Jingpo Hu beyond the border with Heilongjiang Province , and its confluence with Songhua Jiang is in Yilan County , which is part of Harbin City .
