Santa Ana ( English : Saint Anna ) is a small town in the province of San José in the Central American state of Costa Rica .
The place, which has a good 11,000 inhabitants, is located about 10 kilometers west of the capital San José in the center of Costa Rica in the Valle Central plateau .
Juan Santamaría International Airport is located around 10 kilometers northwest of the city.
