Santa Clara is a former municipality in Portugal . It is a district of the city of Coimbra .

The former municipality ( Freguesia ) belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Coimbra . The community had a total area of 10.2 km² and 9908 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013, Santa Clara was merged with the municipality of Castelo Viegas to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Santa Clara e Castelo Viegas . Santa Clara became the headquarters of the new community.
