Santiago Viera , full name Santiago Nicolás Viera Moreira , (born June 4, 1998 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.76 meter tall midfielder Viera has been playing for the Liverpool Montevideo youth teams since 2011 . He made his debut in the Primera División in the 2016 Clausura in a 2-1 away win against Defensor Sporting on March 20, 2016, when he was called into the starting line-up by coach Mario Saralegui . In the 2015/16 season he played two first division matches (no goal). Another first division appearance (no goal) followed in the 2016 season.

National team

Viera was a member of the Uruguayan U-17 national team in 2014 . He has been a member of the Uruguayan U-20 team since 2016 . In the U-20s, he was at least a substitute for Matías Ebre in the 3: 4 defeat in the international friendly match on March 22, 2016 against Paraguay . Two days later he was in the starting line-up in the 2-2 draw in the second leg against the same opponent.
