Saori Ariyoshi ( Japanese 有 吉 佐 織 , Ariyoshi Saori ; born November 1, 1987 in Saga Prefecture ) is a Japanese national soccer player .
Club career
Ariyoshi has been playing for the Japanese record champions NTV Beleza in the Nihon Joshi Soccer League since 2012 , but after 2010 he was unable to win the title.
National team
Ariyoshi played her first international game for Japan on February 29, 2012 against Norway . For the Olympic Games in London she was only named as one of four reserve players. In 2013 she took part with Japan for the first time in the Algarve Cup 2013 and won the game for 5th place against China with Japan . A year later she reached the final against Germany at the Algarve Cup 2014 with Japan , but lost it 3-0. The goals came after she was substituted in the second half.
In May 2014, she and her team won the Asian Cup against defending champions Australia for the first time . She was only not used in the group game against the weakest opponent Jordan when most of the regular players were spared. In March 2015 she took part with Japan in the Algarve Cup 2015 , in which Japan only finished 9th.
It was also nominated for the 2015 World Cup and used in two group games and the four games of the final round. In the round of 16 against the Netherlands on June 23, she scored her first international goal to take the lead 1-0 in the 10th minute of the game. Japan then made it 2-1 to the quarter-finals and met the final opponent of the Asian Cup, who were defeated 1-0. After beating England 2-1 in the semi-finals , she was named Player of the Game. In the final against the USA, their team conceded four goals within the first 16 minutes. Her teammate Yūki Ōgimi was then able to reduce it to 1: 4 and after an own goal by the US girls, Japan even came close to 2: 4, but two minutes later she could not prevent the 2: 5.
