Sarah Meyer-Dietrich (born October 20, 1980 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) is a German writer who lives and works in the Ruhr area .

Sarah Meyer-Dietrich was born as the daughter of the writer Inge Meyer-Dietrich and the pediatrician Helmut Meyer-Dietrich, the youngest of three children. She grew up in Essen and Gelsenkirchen and was invited to Berlin for the Young Authors' Meeting in 1999 . She completed her Abitur in 2000 at the Leibniz Gymnasium in Gelsenkirchen-Buer . In 2006 she completed her studies at the Ruhr University Bochum as a graduate economist. Alongside her studies, she was an editor and author at biblioviel Verlag in Bochum. In 2011 she was awarded a PhD at the Chair of Marketing (later: Sales & Marketing Department) at the Ruhr University Bochum. rer. oec. PhD. In the novel, a woman seems to travel aimlessly across the Ruhr area on public transport. In the process, she always meets new fellow travelers, whose biographies she tries to read from their faces. More and more these biographies are blurring with the woman's own biography.
