Ruhr Literature Prize
The Ruhr Area Literature Prize , founded by the Ruhr Regional Association , has been awarded since 1986 by the Ruhr Literature Office based in Gladbeck . In 2006 the name was changed. Since then, the award has been called the Ruhr Literature Prize .
The main prize winner receives 10,000 euros, the two award winners each receive 2,555 euros for texts that refer to reality in the Ruhr area . Each year a topic is advertised for the sponsorship awards, on which texts can be submitted. The main prize is awarded by a jury to a deserving author, an application is not possible.
