Sarah Weeks (born March 18, 1955 in Ann Arbor ) is an American children's author.

Sarah Weeks writes picture books, children's books and high-quality literature for older children. Several of her books have received awards, for example So B. It received the lynx of the month literature award in August 2005 and was nominated for the German Youth Literature Award in 2006.

She wrote songs for Sesame Street , for the Olsen Twins and for the Disney cartoon Pooh's Grand Adventure . Today she lives as a singer, songwriter and author with her two sons in New York.

Sarah Weeks founded the group ART (Authors Readers Theater) in 2006, whose members are Avi , Sharon Creech , Walter Dean Meyers , Pam Munoz Ryan , Richard Peck and herself.
