Sarangarh is a small town in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh with almost 15,000 inhabitants (2011 census).
Sarangarh is located in the Raigarh district . 14 km north of the city, the Mahanadi River flows in an easterly direction. The district capital Raigarh is just 50 km northeast .
Sarangarh was the capital of the princely state of the same name .
