Saraya is a city in southeast Senegal . It is prefecture of the Saraya department in the Kédougou region .
Geographical location
Saraya is located in the east of the Kédougou region and is the departmental prefecture furthest from the capital Dakar . The neighboring country of Mali in the east is 42 km away and Guinea in the south is 50 km away.

The 2013 census gave the city a population of 2,726.
traffic
Although the national road N 7 ends in the city of Kédougou , 55 km away , the gap to the Malian national road N24 across the border river Falémé near Koundam was made with an asphalt leading over Saraya as part of the transcontinental highway project Dakar-N'Djamena-Highway Autoroute closed. This means that Saraya has the best possible connection to the national trunk road network.
