The Sarikol Range ( Russian Сарыко́льский хребе́т ; Tajik Раште Кух Сарикол ) is a mountain range in the eastern Pamir along the border between Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China .
The Sarikol chain extends over a length of 350 km with predominantly north-south orientation. It runs parallel to the Kaschgar chain to the east . In the north the mountain range is bounded by the course of the Markansu river and in the south by the Beyik pass . The Sarikol chain forms the watershed between Tarim , Lake Karakul and the Amu Darya . The highest mountain in the mountain range is Lyawirdyr peak at 6351 m . The climate and vegetation of the Sarikol chain correspond to that of a cold highland desert.
The Uzbel Pass connects China with Tajikistan.
