Sascha Gura

Sascha Gura (born June 9, 1896 as Eugenie Therese Gura in Munich , † after 1934) was a German actress .
Life
The daughter of the singer and actor Hermann Gura , niece of Eugen Gura junior and granddaughter of the singer and actor Eugen Gura had received artistic training at the Royal University of Music . She began her career during the First World War at the operetta, later (since October 1, 1921) she also celebrated successes at Berlin's Komischer Oper . His marriage to Hermann Karl Rudolf Friederich von Oppen in September 1920 was divorced again in July 1922. She continued to call herself von Oppen Gura. The last entry in the Berlin address book (as a singer) is from 1931.
Active in film since the spring of 1919, Sascha Gura was a busy leading actress in dark dramas and adventure stories for five years. She went to Vienna in 1920 for four leading roles in two Heinz Hanus productions of the Astoria Film - three in the aristocratic drama Unter der Knout des Schicksals , one in the novel How Satan died . After two sound film engagements, the artist, who was sidelined by the Nazis because of her Jewish origins, fell into oblivion. Nothing is currently known about her further life.
