Sascha Kesselring

Sascha Kesselring (born March 21, 1985 ) is a German basketball player and coach. The 2.09 meter tall indoor player played 24 Bundesliga games for Ludwigsburg.

career

Born in Brandenburg, he grew up in Böblingen and played basketball at SV Böblingen from the age of 15. In 2002 he moved to SV 03 Tübingen and in 2004 went to Ludwigsburg . There he played 24 Bundesliga games by 2008 and was also used in the European club competition ULEB-Cup , but always remained a supplementary player. In addition, he gained match experience in Ludwigsburg's regional league team and in the 2007/08 season thanks to a “double license” for VfL Kirchheim in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

For the 2008/09 season Kesselring moved to FC Schalke 04  in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . In 2009/10 he was under contract with the Cuxhaven BasCats and in 2010/11 with the s.Oliver Baskets Würzburg (both also ProA). He started the 2011/12 season at Giants Düsseldorf and moved to ETB Essen in February 2012 within the ProA . After the end of this season he ended his professional career and went to KKK Haiterbach in the 2nd regional league, where he took over as a coach in 2016 after a few more years as a player.
