Sascha Klör (born August 16, 1985 in Krefeld ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

Sascha Klör played professional tennis tournaments at irregular intervals. He played his first event in 2002 on the third rate ITF Future Tour . In 2005 he was able to reach the final in singles for the first time at such a tournament, which he managed three more times this year, in doubles he won two of his three career titles. At the end of the year, he was in doubles with place 578, his highest value in the tennis world rankings . At his second tournament on the ATP Challenger Tour in Doha , he was able to reach the semifinals without losing a set and defeat two top 200 players before losing to Olivier Patience . In June 2006 he climbed to 375th place in the singles, his career high.

After a less successful period, Klör won his two single titles in singles and his third and final title in doubles. After failing in the qualification in Munich in 2008 , he was able to win his three matches there the following year and move into the main field and thus celebrate his premiere on the ATP Tour . In the first round he lost to the eventual tournament winner Tomáš Berdych . In addition, he could no longer qualify for any ATP event. He played his last tournament in 2012.

In the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga tennis, Klör played irregularly for the TC Blau-Weiss Neuss until 2017 .
