Satymkul Jumanasarov

Satymkul Dschumanasarow ( Russian Сатымкул Джуманазаров , English transcription Satymkul Dzhumanazarov; ) (born September 17, 1951 , † April 2, 2007 ) was a Kyrgyz marathon runner who started for the Soviet Union .

At the marathon of the European Athletics Championships 1978 in Prague he finished eleventh.

Two years later he qualified with a second place in the Soviet championship for the Olympic Games in 1980 and set the still current Kyrgyz national record of 2:11:16. At the games themselves, which were played on the same course and were affected by the boycott of many Western associations, he won the bronze medal in 2:11:35 behind Waldemar Cierpinski (GDR) and Gerard Nijboer (NED).

In the first edition of the Tokyo International Men's Marathon in 1981 he was fifth.
