Satzvey-Firmenich was a municipality in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1969 . Today Satzvey-Firmenich is a district of the city of Mechernich in the district of Euskirchen.

Satzvey-Firmenich consists of the two villages Satzvey and Firmenich , which are located in the northeast of the municipality of Mechernich and are about one kilometer apart. Both villages are now separate districts of the city of Mechernich. The former municipality of Satzvey-Firmenich had an area of ​​7.60 km².

history

Since the 19th century Satzvey-Firmenich formed a rural community in the Euskirchen district; initially as part of the mayor's office in Satzvey and after the Second World War as part of the Amt of Satzvey-Wachendorf-Enzen. On July 1, 1969, the municipality was incorporated into the new municipality of Veytal by the law to reorganize the district of Euskirchen . On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Veytal was dissolved again and Satzvey and Firmenich came to the city of Mechernich.
