The Sauerland Cup is a handball tournament for male and female A and B youth in Menden (Sauerland) .

Every year at the beginning of January, the SG Menden Sauerland Wölfe organizes a tournament for the best junior teams in Germany. The game is played in seven Menden sports halls, in the Fröndenberg sports hall and in the Hemer park hall .

In 1991 the tournament began to be held in four sports halls. 24 teams took part. After 38 games, the Menden sports club won the cup. Ten years later they played in eight sports halls. The number of participating teams had risen to 57. Accordingly, the number of qualifying games rose from 38 in 1991 to 172. Overall winner of the Sauerland Cup in 2001 was the women's team SV Fortuna '50 Neubrandenburg .

In 2005, there were two national teams from Japan for the first time. In 2006, the Swiss A-youth national team played in the A-youth male.
