Savādkuh ( Persian سوادکوه, DMG Sawādkūh ) is an administrative district ( Schahrestan ) in the Iranian province of Māzandarān . It has an area of ​​2078 km² and about 68,000 inhabitants. The capital is Pol-Sefid .

Savādkuh is located in the south of the province between Firūzkuh and Qaem-Shahr . Savādkuh is one of the main fluorine mining areas in Northern Iran. In addition, coal , dolomite , gypsum , gravel and sand are mined. The district is surrounded by mountains and is known for Ālāscht , the birthplace of Reza Pahlavi , the former Shah and founder of the Pahlavi dynasty. In addition to Ālāscht, the cities of Polefid , Zirab and Shirgah are located in Savādkuh .
