Dmitry Chepovetsky

Dmitry Chepovetsky ( Ukrainian Дмитро Чеповецький Dmytro Tschepowezkyj ; * 1970 in Lviv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian - Canadian actor and author.

Life

Chepovetsky was born in Lviv in western Ukraine , but left his home country with his family at the age of six after his Jewish family's application to leave had been approved. The final destination at the time was Israel, but a different decision was made and moved to Canada, where Dmitry later grew up in Regina .

He completed his acting training at the renowned theater program at Ryerson University , and as a member of The Second City troupe in Toronto. Through stage engagements in Vancouver, Calgary, Manitoba, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax, he made his debut in the mid-1990s as a guest actor in several Canadian television series. B. in The X-Files and The Sentinel - In the Hunter's Eye . Further film and television productions followed, for example in the science fiction film Mission to Mars (2000) and a guest role in the science fiction series Stargate - Kommando SG-1 . In 2005 he was nominated for the Gemini Award for best supporting actor in the television series ReGenesis .

His best-known film role was that of Stephan in the action thriller Driven to Kill at the side of Steven Seagal .

In addition to working as an actor, the artist also writes stage plays. Two of his pieces have already been performed.
