Savvas Exouzidis ( Greek Σάββας Εξουζίδης ; born December 4, 1981 in Stuttgart ) is a Greek football player who has been a player- coach at FC Frauenfeld since July 2017 .

Career

Exouzidis began his career at TSV Korntal , but switched to the Stuttgarter Kickers early on and in 1998 to the A-youth team at VfR Heilbronn . In the summer of 2000 he came to a contract with the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg club SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg . After he came to 13 games in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg in two years, he decided in the summer of 2002 to move to the Cypriot Division A to Aris Limassol . In Cyprus, Exouzidis came to eleven games in his first professional season and scored one goal, which helped him to a contract in his Greek homeland with Poseidon Neon Poron. However, he only played three games in the 2003/04 season in the Beta Ethniki and in 2004 moved to the Alpha Ethniki at Panionios Athens . In Athens he played 57 games between 2004 and 2007 and was able to score two goals until he moved to RKC Waalwijk in July 2007 . In the Netherlands he was used in all league games of the 2007/08 season and was able to record four goals. In the summer of 2008, however, he turned his back on the Netherlands and returned to Greece, where he signed a contract with Iraklis Thessaloniki . Back in Greece he struggled with injuries and only played three games in Alpha Ethniki in 2008/09 . This was the reason that he left the club and went back to the Beta Ethniki to Pierikos Katerini . After a year he switched to league rivals Diagoras Rodos , where he was used in eleven games in the first half of the 2010/11 season. In the summer of 2011 he received a contract with the Swiss Challenge League club FC Winterthur . Since January 2015 he played for FC United Zurich . From January 2016 he worked as a player-coach. At the beginning of 2017 he moved to the second team at FC Winterthur in the same role. Since July 2017 he has been the player-coach at FC Frauenfeld in the 2nd interregional league .
