Saxofourte is a German saxophone quartet. The repertoire of the classically trained musicians ranges from classical to jazz.

The ensemble was founded in 1995 by Thomas Sälzle (soprano saxophone), Dieter Kraus (alto saxophone), Guntram Bumiller (tenor saxophone) and Stefan Eger (baritone saxophone). The current (2016) line-up is Thomas Sälzle, Veronika Hanrath , Simon Hanrath and Daniela Wahler .

Thomas Salzle

Sälzle currently teaches at the Nersingen Music School , where he also directs two big bands. Besides saxofourte, he also plays with "The Cash" (alto saxophone) and the big band "Opus One" (tenor saxophone) from Weißenhorn . He lives in the district of Neu-Ulm , Bavaria .
