Sayed Baqer Mir Salimi (also Sayed Baqir Agha ; born September 19, 1989 in Tehran , Iran ) is an Afghan soccer player who has played for the Afghan first division club De Maiwand Atalan since the 2014 season .

Life

Salimi was born on September 19, 1989 in Tehran . His Afghan parents fled Helmand to the Iranian capital before he was born . After living in Iran until he was 18 , Salimi's family returned to their home province in 2007.

Career

In 2013 Salimi moved to De Maiwand Atalan in the Afghan Premier League , who u. a. represents Helmand Province in the Afghan League. For the 2014 season he was appointed team captain to succeed Abdul Wahid Noorzai . The striker scored his first goal in a 1-1 draw in the semifinals against Oqaban Hindukush to take the lead from a penalty kick. At the end of the season, De Maiwand Atalan finished fourth. Also in his second season, Salimi was the team's captain. In the end they won the bronze medal after the 5-1 victory in the game for 3rd place against Mawjhai Amu . The striker scored two goals in six games. In the 2015 season they even reached the final, but where they lost to Shaheen Asmayee .
