Boomerang (Model 202) is the name of a twin-engine aircraft for a maximum of five people, which is characterized by an unconventional structure. It was designed and built by Burt Rutan and his company Scaled Composites and saw its first flights in November 1996.
The special thing about Boomerang is the asymmetry : the two propellers are not symmetrically located to the left and right of the main axis, instead one is in the center and the other is slightly offset to the left. To compensate for the asymmetry, one of the wings is longer than the other, and when viewed from above, they form a boomerang - hence the name of the aircraft.
