The Scarab Peak is a striking and 3160 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Mesa Range, it rises 3 km northeast of Mount Frustum at the southeast end of Tobin Mesa .
The northern group of a campaign from 1962 to 1963 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it descriptively after its resemblance to a scarab beetle (Scarabaeidae).
