Mount Frustum is a large, pyramid-shaped and 3100 m high table mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Mesa Range, it rises between Mount Fazio and Scarab Peak in the southern part of Tobin Mesa .
The northern group of a campaign from 1962 to 1963 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it descriptively after the English name for a truncated cone or pyramid .
