The Scavolini SpA is an international Italian kitchens - and furniture manufacturers . The family company, based in Montelabbate in the province of Pesaro and Urbino , develops, produces and sells fitted kitchens and kitchen furniture such as tables , chairs and stools .

history

The company was founded in 1961 initially by the brothers Valter and Elvino Scavolini as technically guided workshop in Pesaro . In 1962 the two brought their first fitted kitchens onto the market. After the company headquarters were expanded in the 1960s and various innovations were introduced, a further phase of expansion began in the 1970s with the expansion of the retail network. During this time Scavolini launched its first nationwide advertising campaigns and in 1975 took over the basketball club, known since then as Scavolini Pesaro , of which Scavolini is still the main sponsor .

In the 1980s, Scavolini advanced to become Italy's leading kitchen manufacturer. The company continued to rely on sponsorship, including in the cultural sector as a sponsor of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, which takes place every summer . The advertising campaigns were also continued, which were intensified from 1988 with the engagement of Lorella Cuccarini as one of the most popular show girls and TV presenters of the second half of the 1980s and 1990s. The company expanded its leadership position in the 1990s with the takeover of the kitchen manufacturer Ernestomeda and international expansion. Since 2003 Scavolini has also been the main sponsor of the women's volleyball team Robursport Volley Pesaro , now also known as Scavolini Pesaro.

Today the company has more than 40 own specialist shops in Italy . In addition, the products are sold through a network of 1000 dealers in Italy. In total, Scavolini runs more than 150 of its own specialist shops worldwide and exports to more than 50 countries with an export share of around 16 percent. The company employs around 700 people and generated sales of 225 million euros in 2018.
