Schönenberg is a district of the East Westphalian town of Nieheim in the Höxter district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is in the Weser Uplands . Until it was incorporated into Nieheim, the place was an independent municipality in the Nieheim district . It is the smallest village in the city of Nieheim.

history

The independent municipality was merged with nine municipalities from the dissolved office of Nieheim to form the city of Nieheim on January 1, 1970 under the law to reorganize the district of Höxter .
