The beautifully drawn flower bachia is an annual climbing plant that reaches heights of 25 to 70 centimeters. The plant is prostrate or climbing. The sepals are entire . The crown is white and up to 2.5 centimeters in diameter. The nectar scales are yellow in color and have red spots or stripes.
Flowering time is from July to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.
Occurrence
The beautifully drawn flower bachia occurs in southern Brazil, Uruguay, and northern and central Argentina in dry forests and pampas at altitudes from 0 to 500 meters.
