The Schön Ranke ( Eccremocarpus scaber ) is a plant type from the genus Eccremocarpus in the family of Bignoniaceae (Bignoniaceae).
features
The beautiful tendril is an evergreen climbing plant that reaches heights of 1 to 5 meters. The leaves are bipinnate and have a terminal tendril.
The crown is tubular, orange-red and 2 to 3 inches long. At the bottom it is bulbous and at the base it is narrowed. The seeds have broad, circular, membranous wings.
The flowering period extends from June to October.
Occurrence
The beautiful vine occurs in bushes in eastern Peru, Chile and southwest Argentina.

The beautiful tendril is rarely used as an ornamental plant for espaliers. It is cultivated as an annual plant . The beautiful tendril has been in culture since 1824 at the latest. There are some varieties with a yellow, golden yellow, pink or red crown.
