The Schachermayer Wholesale mbH is an owner-managed family for six generations. As a wholesale partner for wood and metal processing companies, industries and trade with headquarters in Linz , Schachermayer operates throughout Europe.

The corporate headquarters of Schachermayer-Großhandelsgesellschaft mbH is based in the Upper Austrian capital Linz. From there, the 6th generation owner-managed family company operates across Europe as a wholesaler for wood and metalworking companies, industry and trade.

The wholesaler has branches in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania and Montenegro as well as sales offices in Italy and Germany with direct logistics from the Linz central warehouse.

Branches

The headquarters of Schachermayer-Großhandelsgesellschaft mbH is in Linz. In Austria, the wholesaler has additional showrooms in Vienna (warehouse), St. Pölten , Graz , Villach , Rankweil , Innsbruck and Salzburg .

Schachermayer opened warehouse branches in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania and Montenegro, as well as in Italy and Germany.

Rechberger

In 1885 Johann Rechberger founded his company in Linz as a trading company for porcelain and tableware. In 1959 the company was acquired by the Schachermayer family - the Schachermayer / Rechberger group was created. Schachermayer's subsidiary becomes a wholesaler for gastronomy, hotel and retail.

In addition to the company headquarters and the logistics center in Linz, Rechberger has showrooms in Vienna and Innsbruck, as well as its own staff in the Wedl Cash + Carry stores throughout Austria. The Rechberger range includes 14,000 items.

history

Joseph Schachermayer, responsible from 1838 to 1880, founded the locksmith's shop and made it one of the leading companies of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy . His son Josef Schachermayer founded the iron shop Schachermayer and thus paved the way for the company to follow. After Josef Schachermayer's death, his widow Rosa managed the company until the next century and remained responsible until 1906. Kommerzialrat Rudolf Schachermayer Senior (responsible from 1906 to 1947) led the company through two world wars and the difficult period between the wars. Mail order catalogs were introduced in his era (the first copy appeared in 1910).

Kommerzialrat Heinz Schachermayer, responsible from 1947 to 1982, designed the reconstruction in the post-war period together with his brother Rudolf Junior and developed the company into the industry leader in Austria. In his era the Rechberger KG in Linz / Urfahr was acquired and the Schachermayer / Rechberger group of companies was created. Furthermore, Heinz Schachermayer founded the Schachermayer location in Vienna and built the wholesale store on Linzer Klassenstrasse.

Management Gerd and Josef Schachermayer

Roland Schachermayer (responsible from 1982 to 2008) introduced the service formula “97-48-10” on the basis of a logistics system that is leading across Europe in the branch in the new SCH Center in Linz. The internationality of the company was initiated by Roland Schachermayer with locations in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Croatia and Poland, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania and Italy.

Gerd Schachermayer and Josef Schachermayer have been managing partners of the Schachermayer / Rechberger group of companies since 2008. Gerd Schachermayer took over the management of Schachermayer. Josef Schachermayer has been designing the further development of Rechberger since 2008. Under the management of Gerd and Josef Schachermayer, the company expanded into the European countries of Montenegro and Germany.
