Schalkofen is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Egling in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district . The village is about two kilometers south of Egling on the district road TÖL 18.

Schalkofen originally comprised only three farms with a private chapel. In the district there is the schoolhouse built in 1952 by the former Moosham community, which serves as a home for athletes, and the fire station of the Moosham volunteer fire department .
