Sharawyn Pürewdschaw ( Mongolian Шаравын Пүрэвжав ; * 1927 in Bulgan , Dornod-Aimag ) is a Mongolian chess player .

Life

Sharawyn Pürewdschaw was a math teacher by profession. He only learned to play chess at the age of 20. He wrote several books on the game of chess.

successes

He won the Mongolian individual championship in 1962.

For the Mongolian national team, he took part on the fourth board in the 5th student Olympiad in Varna in 1958 and in four chess Olympiads : 1962 in Varna on the top board, 1964 in Tel Aviv on the third board, and 1968 in Lugano and 1974 in Nice on the second reserve board.

Its highest historical Elo number is calculated with 2422 in July 1963, whereby only five tournaments were used for the calculation.
