Scherenau

Scherenau is a hamlet in the Upper Bavarian municipality of Unterammergau in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district and one of the three officially named parts of this municipality.

The district is located north of the Unterammergau district on the left side of the Ammer between Unterammergau and the Saulgruber district of Altenau . To the east of Scherenau, to the right of the Ammer, is the Unterammergau district of Kappel . In the west of Scherenau, the wooded heights of the Unterammergau Forest rise between Ammer and Halbammer , from which the Scherenauer Laine in the northwest of the district flows down to the Ammer.
