Schewtschenkowe ( Ukrainian Шевченкове ; Russian Шевченково Shevchenko ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia with about 700 inhabitants (2001).
The village, which was founded in 1790 as Petro-Pawlivka ( Петро-Павлівка ), received its current name in 1922, is administratively part of the district council of the village of Tarasivka in the west of Polohy district .
The village is located at an altitude of 151 m 1.5 km from the left bank of the Mala Tokmachka ( Мала Токмачка ), a 42 km long left tributary of the Kinska , and 6 km south of the Tarasivka community center, 21 km southwest of the Polohy district center and 104 km southeast of the Zaporizhia Oblast center .
