The Schiervelde Stadium is a football stadium in the Belgian city ​​of Roeselare , in the Flemish province of West Flanders . It is the home ground of the KSV Roeselare football club . The facility offers a total of 9,461 places. For safety reasons, the capacity is limited to 8,340 visitors, 5,133 seats and 3,207 standing places.

history

The facility was opened on September 5, 1987 with the game KSV Roeselare against Royal Francs Borains . It consists of two covered spectator tiers along the square and a new covered seating grandstand behind one gate and a standing room behind the other gate. It replaced the old Het Motje complex . The name Schiervelde is derived from the district in which it is located. The venue is part of the Schiervelde sports complex . This includes a sports hall as well as an event center and six other soccer fields. In 2005, the Dennis van Wijk tribune was established behind the goal. In January 2008 a new stadium building was inaugurated. On the first floor there is a canteen with accommodation for players and a press room. There is a VIP club on the second floor and the exclusive lounge 134 on the third floor , according to the KSV matriculation number . a. the business events of KSV Roeselare as well as other events take place outside of the football business.
