Designations

The Gratschifter starts at the eaves and ends at the hip rafters, the Kehlschifter on while First begins and ends at the valley rafters. The hip and main roof shifter are each identified by their position in the roof. The middle shifter is in the middle of the hip and is therefore the longest shifter on the hip. The claw shifter steals on the valley rafters or under the rafters. In addition, one differentiates the ray shifter. This is not at right angles to the eaves or ridge line.
