The Battle of Loděnice took place on December 10, 1185 on the wide plain between Loděnice and Lidměřice in Moravia .
The noise of the battle is said to have been heard in the Rosa Coeli monastery one and a half kilometers away . The army of Přemysl , Duke of Bohemia , defeated the troops of Conrad III. Otto , Margrave of Moravia. A total of 4,000 participants in the battle were killed. The village of Loděnice was devastated. The hard-fought battle was the greatest confrontation between these two adversaries. The Bohemian army was so weakened afterwards that it could not pursue the victory
