A field record , acreage index, impact file or calendar field is a chronological record with which the farmer on a parcel (impact) to be performed or carried out agricultural measures for agriculture managed and controlled. It forms a basis for the operational accounting of a farm and for various evaluations, comparisons or the cultivation planning for the following years. The measures managed with the field card include: B. Seed , fertilizer and plant protection measures .
Another function of the field card is the documentation of these measures to prove compliance with legal requirements and to ensure the traceability of food.
A field card can be implemented by hand or with a computer or smartphone . They are offered as stand-alone programs or integrated into management systems. Even web-based systems ( cloud computing ) are retrieve its data from a mobile device anywhere for some time on the market, which the farmer has the opportunity and manage.
