history
Schlagwerk was founded in 2007 and consists of Ralph “Der Prediger” Barthelmess ( vocals ), Michael “Der Wächter” Schmitz ( bass ), Stefan “Der Vollstrecker” Schönbrunn ( guitar ) and Markus “Das Kind” Dietz ( keyboard ).
The 2010 debut album Schlagwerk was produced by Tommy Newton , who has worked with Guano Apes , Helloween and Victory . The album was released through ZYX Music . Randy Black ( Annihilator , Primal Fear ) could be won over for the studio recordings . In May 2012, Schlagwerk went on tour in Germany for the first time. In November 2015, the band founded the follow-up project Dornenkönig in Güglingen , which, on the other hand, focuses on German-language rock / pop .
