Schleswig-Holstein daily newspaper

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schleswig-Holstein newspaper (SHTZ) was range- the first regional National Socialist daily newspaper . The SHTZ first appeared on January 2, 1929 in Itzehoe . The first chief editor (editor-in-chief) was Bodo Uhse . Uhse was fired in 1930, and Walther Fröbe became the new editor-in-chief .

From the beginning, the SHTZ was in fierce competition with the daily newspaper Das Landvolk , which also appeared in Itzehoe from January 1929. Its main editor was Bruno von Salomon , who made friends with Uhse. Both support the radical wing of the rural people's movement around Claus Heim , which did not correspond to the strategy of the NSDAP . That is why Uhse was dismissed by Gauleiter Hinrich Lohse .

The newspaper appeared until 1945 and had its highest circulation in 1937 with 22,000 copies.
