The Schloßsee is a lake in the municipality of Wrangelsburg in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is located northeast of Wrangelsburg. In the northeast it extends 595 meters, its greatest width is about 280 meters. The north and east banks are forested.
Together with the Great and Small Black Lakes , the Schlosssee lies in a 27 to 35 meter high plain within a marginal moraine . The lakes are remnants of an Ice Age reservoir.
There is a landscape park on the southern bank . The Wrangelsburg Castle , the predecessor of the later erected in its place mansion stood after a Swedish Matrikelkarte from 1694 near the southwestern shore of the lake.
