Barnow Castle ( Polish : Pałac Puttkamerów w Barnowie ) is a castle in today's Polish Barnowo , Gmina Kołczygłowy (Alt-Kolziglow), which historically belongs to the Rummelsburg district , today to the Pomeranian Voivodeship .

The first known owner was Albert Puttkamer in 1380, whose name is derived from "put comroze" (Unter kämmerer ). This family owned extensive estates in East Pomerania between 1260 and 1350. A hundred years later the property was divided within the Puttkamer family. Around 1628 the property was even divided into three parts, then again in one hand. At the end of the 17th century, the property was pledged and redeemed after the Great Northern War . In 1765 the value of the property was 19 000 Reichstaler , and 15 000 Reichstaler in 1781. In the 18th century ownership changed to the Puttkamer from the Versiner line.

The house dates from the 18th century and has been rebuilt several times. The house is single storey and has a nine-axis facade . The central risalit has a balcony over the portal and is crowned with a triangular gable . The manor house is similar in style details and room layout to the manor houses in Poberow ( Poborowo ), Woblanse , Bartin ( Barcino ), Gumenz ( Gumieniec ) and Versin ( Wierszyno ), which suggests a common master builder.
