The lost Klugham Castle was located in the Klugham district of the same name in what is now the municipality of Polling in the Mühldorf am Inn district in Bavaria .

history

Klugham is likely to be of more recent origin, as no noble family named after this place or no medieval donations can be found. The Furth seat appears for the first time in the country table around 1490 . Even then it was united with the Furth headquarters . Klugham was also a Hofmark , so it held the lower jurisdiction . The owner is Wolfgang Klugheimer zu Furth. The Klugheim family still held the seat in 1575. 1587 is a member of the Wasserburg citizen dynasty of the Heller (Höller) in possession of Klugham, they are here until 1603. For 1615 the land table then names Lazarus Widmer as the owner and later his heirs. 1676 the seat is sold to the Jesuits von Burghausen . Wolf Josef II von Tauffkirchen zu Guttenburg buys Klugham and Furth from the Jesuits. In 1737 Klugham is a seat and a courtyard building (Sedl). In 1803 Franz Xaver Freiherr von Ruffin is the owner. On December 12, 1836, Klugham was merged with Furth and other estates ( Schloss Tüßling ) to form an entails in favor of Johann Nepomuk Freiherr von Mandl-Deutenhofen and his male descendants.

After the secularization of 1803, the aristocratic court brands now existed as patrimonial courts . When the Neumarkt and Haag district court was formed in 1838, the Klugham and Furth patrimonial courts were added to it.
