history

The original medieval fortress was converted into a Renaissance castle from 1580 by the builder Ulrico Aostalli for Bohuslav Mazanec von Frymburk . At the end of the 19th century there was a change in the neo-Gothic style .

In the castle there is an exhibition with art and everyday objects from horse breeding. You can see pictures, sculptures, porcelain, etc. with horse motifs. These include pictures by Josef Mánes , J. Hamilton, Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez as well as sculptures by Adriaen de Vries and Josef Václav Myslbek .
