The Herrngiersdorf Castle Brewery was a brewery in Herrngiersdorf . According to the company, it was founded in 1131, making it the oldest private brewery in the world. The annual output was around 5,000 hectoliters. The company has been owned by the Pausinger family, who originally came from Landshut , since 1899 .
