The Schmalensee (officially: Schmalsee ) is a lake in Mittenwald . It is about seven hectares and only 2.5 meters deep at the deepest points. The lake is privately owned and populated by many species of fish. The hamlet of Am Schmalensee, part of the Mittenwald market, is located on the north bank of the lake .

The lake is right on the road between Mittenwald and Klais on the Buckelwiesen . He can also be seen from the railway line from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Mittenwald.
