The Rogów – Biała Rawska narrow-gauge railway is a narrow-gauge railway in Poland . It runs in the Łódź Voivodeship from Rogów to Biała Rawska . The route has been a listed building since 1996.

course

The narrow-gauge railway runs from Rogów on the Warszawa – Katowice railway to the east via the district town of Rawa Mazowiecka to Biała Rawska . Shortly before this, it crosses the Central Railway Mainline , a high-speed line.

history

The narrow-gauge railway was opened on March 1, 1915 under German occupation of what was then Russian territory as an army field railway with a gauge of 600 millimeters, after the First World War the line came to the newly created Poland. In 1954, the track was re-gauged to 750 millimeters. The route has been a listed building since 1996. On June 1, 2001, passenger traffic on the line was discontinued and resumed as a museum railway in 2002. The middle section between Jeżów and Rawa Mazowiecki was not used in 2016 due to its poor condition. In 2018 only the Rogów – Jeżów section will be served.

In 1922 the journey time was about four hours, and about two hours at the end of regular operation.
