The Rawka is a river in the Łódź Voivodeship in central Poland . It has a length of 97 kilometers and is a right-hand tributary of the Bzura . The Rawka rises east of the town of Koluszki and flows into the Bzura between Łowicz and Sochaczew , of which it is the largest tributary.

A nature reserve was established on the Rawka in 1983 . The most famous towns on the Rawka are the town of Rawa Mazowiecka , the former village of Rawka, now part of Skierniewice , and the villages of Bolimów and Nowy Dwór . The river became famous through the Battle of the Rawka in late 1914 / early 1915 between German and Russian troops in the First World War .
